Seoul, Korea - Day 51 - LAST DAY

June 15, 2014

Our last day in Seoul, Korea began with breakfast and then nonstop shopping. ᵋ₍⚬ɷ⚬₎ᵌ We had breakfast at "7gram;" we ordered banana waffles and a boxed honey toast plus a green tea slush to share. We were the ONLY ones at the cafe and it did feel a bit awkward... The cafe was on the 2nd floor and the interior was very clean and welcoming. I ate the waffle, it was okay, I had better ones but the honey box toast tasted pretty good and the drink was good too. Cost: 18500₩

Since it was our last day in Korea, we did a lot of shopping at Ehwa and even had the chance to take some pictures outside the university! Ehwa University is definitely a gorgeous place with a lot of unique structures and buildings as well as greenery all around.

I did a lot of shopping around here and Myeongdong. I stop by Skinfood and buy one or two items at once and then receive some samples and then go to another store and do the same. heh heh heh. More samples? What I do regret is not buying enough 1000₩ socks. They're freakin adorable! Also I tried bargaining for some shoes that was selling for 25,000₩ to 15,000₩ but that shopkeepers just shooed me away. FINE. Perhaps if I was Korean I might've gotten the deal. ٩(๑`^´๑)۶

For dinner we stopped by a Korean BBQ place in Myeongdong. Two orders of meat cost 47000₩, I consider this quite pricey for the amount of meat as we didn't eat any of the side dishes nor the kimchi. Surprisingly we were quite full with the small amount of meat. We didn't know how to eat at a Korean BBQ place so the waiter had to come over and teach us. You cook the meat and then wrap it in lettuce. Customer service was okay since the waiter is cool, but cannot speak English. The boss, the one who collects money, is a bit on the cocky side, good thing you don't have to pay tips here.

Cathedral in Myeongdong

We walked around Insadong again at night and came upon a cafe, Tea Oreum. It was almost closing time so we quickly ordered a red bean patbingsu. The appearance looks delicious and fresh but once you are done the red bean and mochi, the rest is just plain ice. 9000₩

Once we got back to our guesthouse, there was a whole lot of packing for us to do that night! It was hard trying to fit everything in our own luggage and backpack and stay within that ~30 kg limit. We had to throw all the bags and boxes away and open up makeup and candies as well as toys so that we can squeeze whatever we can in those spaces. PACKING MASTERS. Last day till we head back to Guangzhou to pick up grandmother.
